When you use the Pickatale service (hereinafter Pickatale) or are in contact with us, we will collect and process personal information about you. It is voluntary to provide personal information, but most of the information is necessary in order to use Pickatale, and necessary in order to enter into an agreement with us. Failure to provide the information means that you will not be able to use Pickatale.
Below you will find information about the personal data that is collected, why we do this and your rights related to the processing of your personal data.

2. Why do we collect personal data and what information do we store?
We collect and process your personal information for different purposes depending on who you are and how we get in touch with you. We try to limit stored personal information to a minimum.
We collect the following personal information for the stated purposes:
Name, Email, Address, Geographic Area, Age, IP Address, Nickname, Reading Progression coordinates.
The personal information is collected and processed in order to fulfill our agreement with you on the use of Pickatale.
In order to be able to help those who contact us, we have, on the basis of a balance of interests, considered it necessary to process personal data.
When registering for Pickatale for the first time, we will ask you for specific consent to certain functions and services listed here:
Personal follow-up with reports and tips so you can monitor your child’s progress in the app.
Newsletter distribution, if you are interested in future products from Pickatale.
Use of personal information to adapt Pickatale to the user.
For those treatments that are based on consent, it is of course voluntary to consent, and consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us at email@example.com or by going to My Page.
3. How do we secure your information?
Your information is transmitted from your device to our servers using HTTPS. Our database is set up for one-way communication, so that no outsiders can retrieve information. We have implemented and use reputable security solutions to secure your information.
4. Who has access to your information?
We do not pass on your personal information to others unless there is a legal basis for such disclosure. Examples of such a basis will typically be an agreement with you or a legal basis that requires us to disclose the information. Pickatale has limited access to the database so that only our employees and third parties with whom we have data processing agreements have access. Pickatale will in some cases share statistics of anonymised information with third parties. Pickatale only uses subcontractors who have the same level of protection for personal data as we have. See further below under point 8.
5. Your rights
You have the right to demand access, rectification or deletion of the personal data we process about you. You also have the right to demand limited processing, direct objections to the processing and demand the right to data portability. To apply your rights, you must send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a letter at the address given above. We will respond to you as soon as possible, and no later than within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity or provide additional information before we allow you to exercise your rights against us. We do this to ensure that we only give access to your personal information to you – and not someone who claims to be you. You can at any time withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data with us. The easiest way to do this is to change your settings on “My page” or to send us an email at: email@example.com.
6. How long is your personal information stored?
We store your personal information with us for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose that the personal information was collected for. This means, for example, that personal information such as us processing on the basis of your consent, will be deleted if you withdraw your consent. The personal information we process to fulfill an agreement with you is deleted when the agreement is fulfilled and all obligations arising from the agreement are fulfilled. Your information is stored as long as you continue to use Pickatale. If you cancel your subscription, your personal information will be deleted after 1 year. Please note that uninstalling the app does not involve deleting personal information or terminating a subscription.

Pickatale uses data processors to collect, store or otherwise process personal data on our behalf. We have entered into data processing agreements with the following:

Should there be a change in our services or changes in the regulations on processing of personal information, it may cause a change in the information we have provided here. Changes will be published in the form of updating the app. In addition, updated information will always be easy to find on our website.
